Pamela Mordecai is a Jamaican poet who has written many poems for children. She is a former senior lecturer in English at Mico Training College and has worked extensively in radio and television. The author / co author of many textbooks in Language Arts for use at all levels in the educational system, she now works in the Faculty of Education at the University of the West Indies. Grace Walker Gordon is a Jamaican teacher and author. She is a former lecturer in English at Mico Training College and has taught at the University of the West Indies. She has worked extensively in children’s theatre and co-authored many Language Arts textbooks for use at all levels in the educational system. The anthology Sunsong (Book 1) contains a mixture of poems from across the Caribbean and from other parts of the world. The selection is varied, challenging and enjoyable.
